The Evacuation Overlay (NCL-EVO) is a dual-purpose, 90 mm deep anti-pressure mattress overlay that remains permanently in place on top of a traditional sprung mattress. Designed to eliminate the need for patient transfer during emergencies, this innovative system allows the entire mattress and patient to be safely evacuated without delay.
The top surface is made from a vapour-permeable, two-way stretch wipe-clean material for comfort and infection control, while the underside is PVC-coated, allowing it to slide easily over floors, door thresholds, and stairs during an evacuation.
Secured to the bed using integrated fabric tucks, these also double as cocooning flaps to safely hold the patient in place during transit. The flexible design enables smooth movement through narrow doorways and down staircases, requiring just two trained operators for use.
