Leg Trough - Advanced Heel Offloading and Pressure Relief for High-Risk Patients.

The Thorpe Mill Leg Trough range has been clinically developed to support the effective offloading of heels, providing vital pressure relief for individuals at high risk of developing pressure ulcers, as well as those with existing Stage I or II pressure damage. Each U-shaped trough is carefully contoured to elevate the heel and allow it to ‘float, preventing contact with the bed surface while evenly distributing pressure along the calf.

Available in three models, THS, THS-43, and THS-61, these heel elevators are designed to reduce pressure on the Achilles tendon and popliteal vein, with the THS-43 model also offering slight knee flexion to help mitigate the risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).

Constructed from combustion-modified polyurethane foam and covered in a durable, wipe-clean, multi-stretch, vapour-permeable fabric, each trough provides both comfort and infection control compatibility. The THS model maintains consistent dimensions throughout, while the THS-43 and THS-61 taper from knee to ankle for improved anatomical fit.

These reusable supports are suitable for a wide range of care environments and are intended for use following professional clinical assessment. Each unit should be visually inspected between uses, cleaned according to healthcare standards, and matched with its original cover to maintain hygiene and performance.
