A fully padded and shaped sling for comfort and support, incorporating a non-slip waistband.

The LOCOMOTOR SLING RANGE has been designed to be compatible with all hoists with a standard spreader bar configuration. They are not suitable for use with hoists with a wishbone-shaped spreader bar or those that require buckle fastening.

Instructions for use:

Place the sling around the back of the patient, ensuring that the sling is as low down as possible towards the buttocks. Secure the velcro strap as firmly as possible and attach the sling to the spreader bar. There are two loop adjustments, either one may be used depending on the

size of the patient and the depth of the chair he/she is sitting on. Place the patient’s feet on the footplate and ensure that the kneepad is flush against the patient’s shins. The patient should be instructed to hold onto the handlebars (or the sling straps), lean back into the sling and push through their feet as the spreader bar raises.

Please note that the patient should be able to weight-bear throughout the lifting operation. Refer to the Usage Guidance diagram overleaf for further information.

Care and Use:

Wash at 71°C using a proprietary detergent for at least 3 minutes with an additional 4-8 minutes for mixing of the load to ensure the entire load is subjected to the temperature for the appropriate period of time. Do not use biological detergents. Short spin. Do not tumble dry.
